I started my career in mental health working at the inpatient psychiatric unit at Seattle Children's Hospital. At the unit I worked with children and adolescents who were in crisis and/or suffer from severe mental illness. My experiences at the unit help me realize my deep passion for this work, and led me to pursue a masters degree in counseling psychology at the Seattle School of Theology and Psychology. While completing my graduate program in 2013, I had a clinical internship at Northwest University. There I served as a therapist to college students and alumni, seeing both individuals and couples. I now work full-time in my private practice.
I work primarily from a relational model that emphasizes authentic interaction and nonjudgmental curiosity. My approach works towards finding the underlying beliefs, emotions, and relational frameworks that negatively impact your life. The goal of this therapeutic work is to bring awareness, freedom, and understanding in order to help you live a more fulfilled life.
